Crane Elementary School Shooting

The Crane Elementary School Shooting, carried out on April 18th, 2017, was a school shooting committed by Matthew Ramirez, a 27 year old resident, ending in his capture and suicide.

Ramirez had almost no plan before the morning of the shooting, entering the school building from a workers enterance in the cafeteria after placing a threatening call to his uncle about going after "what matters most to him" after the two got into an altercation about Ramirez being made to move out of his grandmother's home and stop interacting with his younger cousins, nieces and nephews due to his alcohol and drug abuse, growing gun collection and worrying behavior online.
